On 30 March 2017 we held the 2nd National Meeting (Spain) of the pharmaceutical community. After the success of the first event, we once again brought together the pharmaceutical sector to discuss the issues and trends in pharmaceutical packaging. On this occasion, the theme was “The future of pharmaceutical printing: the challenges of pharmaceutical packaging” in a year marked by the proliferation of counterfeit medicines in Spain, a serious public health problem to which Maculart responded with various anti-counterfeiting measures to guarantee the safety of pharmaceutical packaging.
This issue of the safety of the packages was one of the topics of the conference, together with the regulations and quality of packaging. The programme included representatives from leading companies such as Esko, Pizzi, Merck Chemicals & Life Science and Aenor , as well as the highest authority on medicines in Spain: the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS).
